I also want the most powerful motor but wallet light

Already borrowed brushed ESC from Frank. Will do stock setup w Etec 1900mah 3S1P for the moment. Expected current draw is 13A.

Infact, the current issue of Easy Glider is there is no direct plug and play motor for it. In most cases, modification is required.

Ammo had tried Himaxx 2025/4200 on it. The climb rate is good but not the motor Temp. it was like 120 degree Yesterday, his brushless die die liao

There are a few we are aiming at the moment, multiplex brushless, Typhoon, AXI etc ....

Will see how the maiden go

wow... 120 degree ... the stock motor is not powerful enough? The engine compartment big enough to install gearbox?

waw 120 degree .... .....good for using as heater to make coffee at the field

        Another case of over loading.....

Besides $....that is another reason of not getting big power glider....everything will be blow up accordingly.... where got money....ehawk is good enought lol....

Due to budget reasons too, I can only go with stock and 8 AA 1800mAh NiMh. But I am really worried it will be terribly underpowered by our wind conditions.

It will be really hard to change motors then when the fuselage is all glued up.

Eyes on Multiplex motor liao....seems to be one of the easiest to replace

Anyway, the Easy Glider almost done. I would say the overall construction is simple with use of thick vicosity CA and kicker. As I only manage to get the thin type, building at time is tricky.

Basically am doing up the rudder, elevator, control linkage and minor acc here and there. Heres the pics :-

Final assembly and everything seems straight.......

Will do up the wire, esc and trimming. Should be able to maiden today or tomorrow.

                  Cheers

After a bit of looking and flying around, the Etec 1900 3s seems to be the best battery for the EG. good weight with a relatively high amp output capability. seems like the EG doesn't like to be flown too heavy, at 1.2kg with my old 10 cells CP1300 nicads, doesn't glide as smooth and climb is sluggish at best.

Yup....1800mah on 2S is pretty decent

Say u take 1min30s to reach 200m, w brushless, u probably reach the same height in 30s

maiden my Easy Glider today, sui sui..... will still go for brushless.... today on 1700mah 3S1P, power and climb rate is decent. Brushless is ultimate

How come no one is using GP1100X8 to power the glider.
Seem to be what is recommended. It will get the CG right, have the correct discarge rate (Amps) and, it fits into the original battery compartment.

Li-pos don't really work very well with speed 400s. 2S too little voltage and 3S too much.
