Any downside if using 3s packs in series

    Hi everyone
I was looking a batt prices. Running 2 3s packs appears cheaper for the same capacity than one 6s batt.

I was wondering if there are any downsides to using batts in series. Apart from less flight time.

    Hope to get your advice

    Thanks Ken

3s+3s works the same as 6s.

    Flight time is the same.

The two packs will need to be similar.

        Downside = extra connectors
        Modded Esavage + 4S lipo + KB45 2300KV + HW150A
Brushless Esky Lama with dual swash
        Esky Dauphin
        Walkera Lama 2
        Walkera 5G6
        Sparrowhawk XB + 2S lipo + 60A brushless esc + 6000kv motor.
Brushless Mini LST + single servo mod
        Brushless Micro-T

Downside, mismatch between packs1 and pack2. The weaker packs during usage will be the first to die after some use.
That is why a 6cells pack is more expensive than individual 2 set of 3s lipo packs .
The 6 cells are carefully balance and matched during manufacturing process.

          Cheers
