You'll get all the info you need on hovering and stability..plus what to the parts u'll need ;)

a typical quadrotor heli like this requires a minimum of 3 gyros (roll, pitch and yaw stabilization)

3 gyros
1 linear sensor
1 compass sensor
1 barometric sensor (optional)
2 counter rotating prop
2 prop
4 motor
4 ESC - you can use normal esc or I2C bus esc (faster response)..

Cool ! Did u get this from Nicoleto or did u fabricate this yourself ? I tried to order a complete set of UAVP from www.lipoly.de but did not get a response from them. I guess they are not interested to do business with me. However, I'm still keen to either build a uavp or mikrokopter. Would u be able to point me in some direction to acquire a frame similar to the one u have ?

I guess u asking me ya ? I'm using 2 GYA 352 for roll & pitch from Singahobby and a GY240 for yaw. Motors are 1000KV outrunners bought from www.himodel.com with 9X5 normal & counter-rotating GWS props.

Check out the thread here for all the info needed to do something like this. The person who gave me the idea to build one of these has in fact made an edf model & it flies very well.

I'm currently building the UAVP...Lipoly takes a while to process the orders...waited for abt 1 month before it got to my turn, they have a lot of back order...but no regrets...simple setup....just need to find time..

mikrokopter is more work, but a lot of building threads on it and pic to follow..

I would recommend to go the UAVP or mikrokopter way...more flexibility..GPS hold feature, barometric sensors, parachute trigger, higher payload, etc..guess these you already know...

wow 2 GYA352s and so many CC25s... your budget is way too high for me

anyway due to extremely tight budget i'm planning to make one without servos, uses minimum parts and at the same time does not compromise quality for price
here's my plan:

• 4 ESCs
• 4 outrunners
• 3 headlock gyros
• 1 DIY mixer (a programmable microcontroller)

so far GY240 and CC25 are proven to work on these quadcopters and i guess an average outrunner should not give problems... for my case right now the most critical part should be the mixer as i'm still trying to get it working the way i want it to

Hi,

Finally did a little datalogging on this thing.



What this shows is that my 2200mah battery is only good for 1888mah & about 8 to 10 minutes of hovering.

It needs about 13A to keep itself afloat !
