Digital servos like same as in helis , faster refresh rate but its not so important as in helis where fast response are needed. Good analog servos like the D60 works very well. Some of the guys are using the D60 in very fast F5D planes so no worries.
We used to skip the hitec 5/125 wing servos as they used to not center well and strip gears easily. This new model looks better, cant comment as have not use it yet.
Yours is the ultralight version so keep it as light as possible and it will perform as it is designed to, skip all the servos that are more than 20grs. Use D60x6 as recommended in the build manual http://www.pcm.at/downloads/Bauanlei...BA_Engl-03.pdf for the ultralight.
Pang, Thanks for advice... but looks like you are out of stock ....
WHat else ?
Take what you've got and fly with it - Jim Henson
... no plane will allow a pilot to recover from stupid. You still have to do those piloty things... - Joe Wurts
Electric things run on smoke. Let the smoke out and they won't work.
Need some advice ...the fuselage is two pieces ... and the instruction call to glue it.
I wanted to know if there is other option so it can still be remove for transport but still solid in flight ?
Almost up...pending my Kira 480-38 with 5.2:1 gear box..from Kontronik with Fedex on its way now stuck in France.
All my motors cannot fit as it need to be upfront not more then 28mm and mounting hole 19mm. Were trying to use my Hyperion GS2213-16 motor but the mounting hole don;t fit.
So cannot maiden tomorrow unless I can find a motor that fit.
Today look like a good day to Maiden and Thank to Pang - APACHobby , I got a motor to test it out.
If weather permit, I will have both my PCMs flying this afternoon.
Thanks to Pang for the motor to try out.
This Erwin XL ultralight is really light as a 3m glider. It fly very well....and just float in the air as long as you want it.
And it can also do some faster flying and quite agile even for a 3M glider.
Congrats on the maiden. The plane flies sweet. One giant DLG. Extremely bouyant. Awesome to fly in those really dead air days. I think you will enjoy flying this after 6pm when the wind dies down.
