Scale Apache

Hi

I am a newbie thinking of venturing into scale and i been searching around and it seem that theres no scale fuselage for an apache.

And experts in scale care to advise on this?

Oh and mostly to try this build on a 450 if possible

For 450 size, fiber glass... no apache yet. If u don't mind "Coke Bottle" material (PETG), u can try Darthdrk. IMHO, I would prefer fiber glass type.

For bigger heli, u can go for Approach Engineering or Len Mount:

Btw i have read on other thread the a scale 1:18 scale toy model would fit a 450 size is it possible?

in fact i found a BBI Elite Force 1/18 AH-64 Apache on ebay

That one... the horizontal stabilizer is wrong shape/design.

For BBI 1:18, it is more suitable for Eolo heli instead. Using 450 size heli is possible BUT a lot of modifications work needed in order to make it work. If that is your 1st scale, I recommend u not to go this path yet (unless u have Eolo heli). Go for something already ready made for 450 size heli 1st. Once u gain experience, then u can decide whether to go for "complicated work" heli

Here are my scale heli using BBI and "21th Century Toy" 1:18 scale.
AH-64A Apache
=> BBI. Using TRex450.
=> Dismantled. Will bring it back to life in future.

UH-60 Pavehawk
=> BBI. Using TRex450
=> Dismantled. Will bring it back to life in the future.

UH-1C (modified to UH-1M)
=> 21th Century Toy. Using Mini-Titan frame, TRex450 tail, Modified HeliArtist head.
=> Flew, crash to drain before, Dismantled...but recently revived it and it is in flying condition (still need a further tweaking). Last photo was taken during Jalan Kayu Family Day

Can i check the Eolo is it a 400 size heli?

Eolo is like bigger than 450 size. I think smaller than 500 size (TRex500)

A lot of changes is done on the Apache... don't know where to start on listing it.

Eolo.. I didn't any local shop selling it.
Anyway, I think Eolo heli is no longer in production (I think).

Not necessary must be use Eolo. The reason I said Eolo is because someone in overseas manage to install Eolo (with some changes) and fly it.

If u really really really want to go for this route for Apache, and on your 1st scale heli, what u can do is to buy the scale and then look for any heli that can fit it in. Be warn that, there will be quite a number of changes and trial and error...u can easily give up on it (due to too many changes)

Don't think local have it. Visit HC webby. They carry a 480 Size heli.
