It is good enough. So long as your heli fly well...and have slightly more power (in order to carry more stuff when u go scale), u ready to go scale.

But I do have a minor doubt on the Align 450 3550kv motor though. That motor is way too hot. Inside fuselage, the temperature will increase further. What u can do is just use it and see how. If it is really too hot, change it.

Anything that is more cooling will do. There are a few... JGF450TH or China Cloned 450TH are some of them.

Those that categorized under HOT HOT motors are:
          1. Align motor
          2. Thunder Tiger's Mini-Titan motor that come with combo set.
          3. Scorpion?

I'm using a Z-10a 3000kv motor in my trex with fuselage and it runs pretty cool. The stock combo for the Mini Titan runs very hot. Can't imagine how it would be able to handle the added weight and reduced airflow of a fuselage.

U don't need to wait for motor to start project. As I said, just use it and see how. If it really cooking, then change it. Maybe if u want, u can just take/change out that motor now to a cooler one and then that HOT motor is use for glider/airplane or some other project. (Rather than risk damaging the motor)

U can do multitasking also by sourcing/online order? a new motor and while waiting for the motor, u start the fuselage first.

It is possible....provided your wood carving skill is good and have a lot of patience.

Some DIY their own fuselage using either or mixture of:
                      1. Balsa wood
                      2. PETG (similar to coke bottle)
                      3. Paper folding.
                      4. Fiber Glass
                      5. Styrofoam

#1 and #4 is the most realistic look.

For Balsa wood, the method is quite similar to those who build airplane.

Overseas, do have ppl DIY EH101 Merlin, AH-64 Apache, AH-1 Cobra and so on.
