Lipo Battery for Receiver?

Hi all, have a question.

Is it possible to connect a lipo battery to a receiver directly? Cos I am flying nitro and was thinking instead of using the normal nicad battery, wouldnt it be better to use a lipo battery instead?

yes u can use a 2s lipo.. and use an external bec

Jet Hobby has a voltage regulator. for either 6v or 5v.

that means if you plug in 6cells (7.2V) or 2s (6.8V) it will give out constant 6V or 5.4V depending on model etc etc etc

What if the battery voltage falls below 6 or 5.4v? Will the voltage given by the regulator drop as well?

u can go for higher cap ones since they are much lighter than ur nicd/nimh
