      Thanks for the PM

I've also tried the forte before. Its really very nice in terms of interior design. Handling and power wise seems to be about the same as the avante. But its 5000 more expensive than the avante...

mh4300, care to share your mileage with the forte?

        tried both.

i tried both. test drove on March.
        For luxury comfort -Avante.
        For sporty and gadgets-Forte
Engine wise almost the same. handling i felt Forte steering better.
But at the end i choose Subaru. hahaha Buy car like get a wife. buy the 1 u love. hehehe...

          Hi Alex,

Did you buy the Subaru Impreza 1.5 Auto ?
hows the pick up at stationary position? i.e. moving off at traffic light when it turned green?

I tried the hatchback Impreza 1.5A last month, I think it takes some getting used to stepping on the accelerator, as the moving off is slow...I'm not sure if I'm too gentle on the paddle? of is it the timing charactoristic. I didn't engage the overdrive though.

By the time I know it, I'm already at >80km/h at Leng Kee road....and I don't even feel a thing! The car is so silent & stable yet damn powerful. I guess that what boxer engine is all about! no wonder so many of my friends bought the Subaru Impreza & WRX.

The Saleman took me to a route with many cornering turns, and I can take on them at high speed without any vibration or skiding...swee! never can I do this on my current carm sure skid one

But anyway, safety come first. Thanks for sharing bro!

              you are welcome bro!

BTW, I only read most Forte & Avante milledge around 13-14km/l but its only hearing from people cos I don't own one yet..hehe...

I guess most of the newer cars are good on milledge due to recent design & improvements.

Most of all I felt its the driving habit, whether you "ramp" the car often and brakes hard frequently.

I cleaned my air con, and now at minimum dial settings (air con controls) the car would be quite cold already. Previously I need to set to speed 1 or 2 to get colder air.

I also changed my air filter to Hurricane filter($120) & Brisk Premium spark plugs ($170 for 4pcs), more responsive and pick up power,
and also with the new Shell formula FuelSave95 or 98, it really help me from 10-11km/L now up to 13km/L (see picture, just pumped fuel this evening, 439/33litres=13km/L) wahoo!

So it really depends on driver's habit, and weight in his car i.e. big subwoofer, junks at the boot etc....and other factors per mentioned above.

I'm still a new driver on the road compared to many lao-jiaos in this forum...just to share my observation....cool!

Yes, and it is one of the very few car that can carry my big planes without compromising any passenger seat space.

I also read that the GPS is the Agis, which kinda sucks.
Can we purchase the car WITHOUT the GPS?
