          Thanks for all the replies.

Mave, I used to work on computer stuffs. When one megabyte storage is about the size of a laser disc.

Brandon, water and electronics don't mix well, I believe there is such a thing as non-conductive liquid. So don't just use tap water for liquid cooling.

Adrain, air-con very ex. with today's fuel prices. It is not so much the ambient air temp its the airflo in the casing that is bad.

Mugenrsg, will check out the shop at lucky plaza.

SH, will check out the website.

Syphonics, the fan is rated at 50000 hours mtbf abt 5 years life span. So after 4 years, the fan need to be replaced.

          Thanks again.

Lets do a simple calculation on electricity consumption :

Current electricity charges = 0.53 cent per kWh

            http://www.singaporepower.com.sg/index.html

            Aircon :
            Norminal Rating = 750W
            Consumption/hour = 15.37cents

            http://services.spservices.sg/

            Lets say u turn on ur PC for 3hr/day = 3 x 0.1537 = S$0.4611 per day

            Per month of 30 days is = 30 x 0.4611 = S$13.833 per month

Assume the cooling water equipment cost u : S$200

Therefore, S$200/13.833 = 14.458 months for the aircon cost to breakeven with the cost of the equipment. Thatz more than a yr of use of aircon cost!!!

Furthermore, aircon cool both person n PC while water cooling unit only cool the PC.

Ok, me only posting here FYI, not trying to start any flaming or arguement. Jus some choices for u guys to tink abt.

I can't recall which month of Atomic Magazine liau... I know there is even a crazyDIY liquid cooling whereby the whole computer (mb, drives, memory, cpu, PSU, and the whole misc things that build up a P.C.) is dip/sock/put into the liquid. Then the liquid is circulate to a fridge for cooling.

Anyway, here is the website for Atomic Magazine website.
This will bring u to the cooling related review:
