optic 6 with stock honeybee cp2

hi ppl, is anyone using an optic 6 with a stock honeybee cp1 or 2? i am getting problem for the 4 in 1 to intialise, the led starts up blinking red for a few times, then stays at red. i suspect it have something to do with my throttle setting on the tx but i got no idea how to solve it! i tried reversing my channel 3 but it didnt work. i made sure that the throttle stick is all the way down, and even tried fiddling around with the trimming for the throttle but nothing seems to happen.

my sw-1 switch is all the way up, sw-2 all the way down, and sw-3 all the way down, and sw-4 on nor mode. based on the manual this should leave me in the normal flight mode. throttle curve is at 0, 25, 50, 75, 100.

the collective and cyclic movement of the servos are correct for throttle, elevators and ailerons, so wat could the problem be?

It cud just be a defective bored. Are there any signs of the escs initialising? Lights or sounds, etc?

don't think the board is defective, because my stock esky tx still works perfectly with the 4in1 board. the LED will blink red for a few times, then it stops at red color, it doesnt turn green as usual.

          Give this a try:-

          1. Make sure your throttle trims are all at zero.
          2. Make sure you are at normal mode.
          3. Make sure normal curve is linear.
          4. Make sure travel limits for channel 1 is at 100%.
          5. Turn off expo on channel 1 if it is on, should be 0%.
          6. Put your stick at zero position and power up the receiver.

If this does not work, then try putting your stick at MAXIMUM position, and power up the receiver. One of these should work. If this works, then try reversing the throttle channel (channel 3 I think but you better check).

            Esky Tx

Hi, I use the TX that comes with HB CP2. I had this problem yesterday, blinking red LED followed by steady red LED. Meddling for a while, thought that the 4-in-1 has fried. Almost give up then I saw the invert switch on the upper left of the TX, turn in off and every thing is fine. That switch inverts the throttle for inverted flight, I guess. I am also a newbie for CP2....Hope this information helps.....

              Is the channel assigned correctly?

I using Futaba, here is the channel assignment:

              Ch1 - Alerion
              Ch2 - Elevator
              Ch3 - Throttle
              Ch4 - Rudder
Ch5 - Spare / Remote gyro gain / Landing gear
              Ch6 - Pitch

Check with the Optics manual n Esky manual if both have the same channel assignment.

Also check if the throttle or rudder channel need to be reversed.

A couple of other things to note as well:-

                1. Make sure your shift is set correctly.
                2. Make sure you have set for PPM and not QPCM mode.

as long as the crystals frequencies match.

tried all the methods mentioned, but the situation is not improving

                        mode is on PPM

tried changing from negative to positive shift, servos couldnt move at all. LED on the 4in1 is flashing green and red, like when there's no signal. at negative shift the servos can move, so i am quite sure the reciever is a negative shift one.

set throttle trim and subtrim at zero and made sure expo is at 0% (i couldnt off it), no observable changes (ie LED remains red). set channel 1 epa at 100% for both max and min, no observable changes also. (actually i dont really understand why there's a need to set epa for channel 1 at 100% since channel 1 is juz my aileron servo?) tried with throttle stick at both max and min position, no observable changes also. tried reversing channel 4, no observable changes.

am i suppose to conclude something is wrong with the optic6's throttle?
thanks to all who helped though

Did you try putting the throttle stick at maximum position?
