Iron-man maiden a success!

APM RTL function...it works!!!

For those who wish to consider another FC in their next quad can give APM 2.6 or Pixhawk a go.

Silly me lost orientation in the next flight after maiden, my heart sunk as I saw my hardwork flying away. As there was a little girl with us, I simply could not bring myself to shout any expletives/vulgarities in front of our younger generation. So I thought to myself, since it's gonna crash anyway, screw it, I may as well try the Return-to-Launch mode. Upon activating RTL, the quad shot up some distance and started coming back to the launch spot. My witnesses are as follows: Liang, Koh, Cheong and her daughter. I even lifted my tx to show them that I was not controlling the craft. And when it was about to land, me and Koh had a sweat cos we thought that it would land directly on top of the 7hv. Lo and behold, the quad avoided the 7hv (thank goodness) and landed exactly where it took off.

So for those who like to tweak settings in their multi-copter, do consider apm, it's an open-source system so everything is somewhat configurable. I really wouldn't recommend this FC to a beginner though. I thought setting a fbl system was kinda ok but setting up the apm brought me to a new level of pain and heartache...its literally a vertical learning learning curve. Glad it worked out well. Hopefully this weeked, I will be able to film the Heli-buddies in airborne!

Then the unthinkable happened...elevator servo horn came off.

Comes the aftermath, very sad to see such a huge monster crashing. I will never forget the sound when it smacked the ground.
