Just to share my bad experience with HK. It may be just this one case and it may be not.
I ordered some batteries on April 21.
On April 25, I received this:
YOUR ORDER ID IS:2004378412
ALWAYS QUOTE YOUR ORDER ID WHEN YOU EMAIL US
YOUR TRACKING NUMBER WILL TAKE AROUND 48HRS TO BECOME ACTIVE.
YOUR SHIPMENT WILL TAKE FROM 4~7 DAYS TO ARRIVE
Weeks have passed.
On May 16, I sent a e-mail to ask why it took so long, and the tracking number is invalid. The reply is:
Thanks for contacting the H***K*** Support Team.
We apologize for the delay. We are sorry to inform you that we are currently experiencing a high order volume at the moment; therefore it takes a little more time to process your order. Please check with your post office and Customs office with tracking number EQ*****SG for further information. In some occasions, parcel may stay in post office and waiting for you to claim.
Thanks for emailing support.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Regards.
Actually, they never bothered to check.
Lucky I kept all my e-mail. When I checked back my original e-mail, I realized the tracking number they sent to me initially is different from the one they posted on the web.
When I use that tracking number, it's actually valid. And here is where the parcel went:
I was very puzzled, so again asked them what happened.
Here was what I got:
We have requested an investigation with Singapore Post, they confirmed your parcel was delivered to Finland. We can now either offer a full refund with store credit for your next purchase or re-send your parcel at no extra cost.
Please advise how we can assist you.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused.
Many thanks
The message is almost hilarious:
1) Full refund, but in HK credits. So it's not exactly a refund.
2) Re-send to me at no additional costs. But I have already paid the EMS shipping which supposed to have arrive long time ago.
I demanded them at least to have the courtesy to waive the initial delivery charge as credit.
After, no reply from HK anymore. They registered my request, but just did not reply.
5 weeks on, and they have not even shipped out the batteries to me.
It's really quite amazing.
If you do order things from there, please make sure you check your tracking ID and keep all your mail.
Not sure I should laugh or cry.
