just want to get opinion from you whether you have problem with honey bee and what do you think of the performance?

    Thanks
Hmmm... doesnt sounds right .... IMO, most micro heli flys reasonably well. All lot depends on the pilot and setup

Yes, exactly, pilot and setup are all that matter! If it's the first time you're flying a heli, well you've got to be patient. It took me 2 weeks just to hover when it all began! And setup, you've to understand the fundamentals of your heli, and adjust the blade pitch, tracking etc for a steady flight!

I may be bias towards Honey Bee, but that's because I have SmartTech, Dragonfly, Cyclone in my office as well, and they don't quite make it! BTW, Dragonfly is a copy of Honey Bee and MS Hornet but cheaper. You're welcome to test flight all these other brands at my office, anytime!

With regards to th HB-T, it's by far the most stable out of the box beginner hobby heli I've tried. Try to check the servos and flybar paddle setup, as well as the CG of the heli.

With regards to the HB-CP, check the main blade pitch and tracking, as well as battery status. You may want to set the gain on the onboard controller to max for beginner.

Otherwise, just bring it back to the hobby shop you bought it from. All hobby shops are obligued to test flying the heli for you upon purchase. And you should really have insisted on it, particularly on Ready-to-fly (RTF) sets! I mean why not? Just pop in the battery and voila! There are way too many possiblities on why the heli couldn't take off!

        Hi

I am a owner of Honey Bee Fp, quite stable to. It can hover on the spot for 4 sec with my hand off the control. BTW, I am using direct drive for the tail. It has better authority compared to the stock.

I realise that when it wobble during flight, it is usually due to low head speed.

          Hi,

HB-CP and HB-FP comes with wooden main blade and a more sturdy rotor head assembly. Also, there's a pair of rubber o-ring through the centre hub. This allows both sides of the main blade to flex (symmetrically) against the fuselage under stress. Hence, it's much more stable and steady.

HB and HB-T comes with plastic main blade, and a less sturdy rotor head assembly. Both sides of the main blade may flex by ifself (asymmetrically) under stress. Also, it's almost impossible to perform blade tracking. Hence, it's more prone to wobbling.

          Regards,

              hi honchung,

can you confirm that the improved version (SK001A) of the rotor head will work on my HBT?? I was told the fibreglass plate does not fit the current rotor head....how much will it cost?

which is better? the improved version or the mod from hobby shack, if they do sell?

              Thanks.

                Dear Awesome,

The Rotor Head EK1-0200 and EK1-0200A is meant for the NEW ESKY Honey Bee T E003 only. If you have the older ESKY Honey Bee T 5003, you should be looking at SK001 and SK001A instead. They are not interchangeable as the ball-joint of the newer rotor head is bigger.

                      Dear Awesome,

5003 is a simplified version of 5004. Their parts are 100% interchangeable. Likewise, E003 is a simplified version of E004. But it is recommended that when you need parts, just go for the 5004 or E004 parts, such as the rotor head.

As for the SK001A, if you'd like to save some money, just find any suitable fibreglass plate, aluminium or steel sheet (eg strepsil tin can), and cut it out! You may need some drilling though...
