Jazz 55

Hi guys, any idea if i use jazz 55 on T500 with stock servos, DS3500G and 770t gyro. ar6100. do i need an external BEC?

jazz 55 doesnt have a onboard BEC

There are two version of Jazz 55, Jazz 55-6-18 do have an BEC and I am using it but only for up to 6S. The other jazz 55 ( can;t remeber the numbering) is the one for up to 10S or 12S, this one no BEC.

then the BEC is rated for 2A.. which is too abit small for all round digital servos

btw the 65A peak rating is also abit on the low side. u should be using something with at least a 70A peak depending on your flying style

I am running it on Trex 450 and not 500 size.
It is a bit light, however do note that Kontronik spec are conservative from the experience that I have. And I have used lots of Jazz in the past few years. Also Jaxx have the feature that when overload it will not shut down immediate but lower the current draw thus result in your heli not cut off power immediately but drop in performance but give you time to take it in.

Im using the Jazz 55-6-18 on my 500esp with stock align ds510 servos. Im also using external bec. As long as you let the esc cool down between packs, it works great.
