Cularis is a relatively good all rounder. Just don't do high speed dives with it. Also , the Topmodel Adriana may fit your bill too, except that the V-tails are fixed.

      Thanks Hawkeye, great input.

Looks like the Bandit meets my needs vary well. Two piece and removable tail surface. It’s on the top of my list now.

      Updates to the criteria:
      1. Two piece wing
      2. Removable tail surface
      3. Sport glider
      4. All Up flying budget < $1K

      Looking for more options.

Did a 40min flight with 3 burst of 12 sec climb on my Paprika this morning. I think 1hr flight shouldn't be a problem for her.

                <$1K budget...

Airframe - $300...AUW must be around 1-1.2kg...that allows a 500W setup with very good climbs..any heavier and yourpwoer needs go up.
                3 Servos - $150
Motor - $150 say maybe an AXI 2820 or 2826
                ESC - $150 Assuming about $40 amp
                Batteries- 2x3s TP packs 2200 - $220

Ok right on the edge of the budget...

Actually the Omei 2M glider is a pretty good floater....pretty good flying behaviour for the price. Put a nice outrunner AXI in there and a 13 inch prop and she will fly very nicely with 500Watts..Get at least a 60amp esc if you want a spirited climb...but please no hard dives and loops....the wing can only take so much..
                Do you feel the RUSH....!!!!

No dives. Only dive I did was during her maiden, when Hawkeye asked me to put her into a dive and see if she level off by itself. She didn't, and I had to pull her up before mother earth welcomes her back down.

Thanks, but going to keep her for the time being. My 1st 6-servo plane.

Off topic...Shadow....I found a pretty good setup for the Paprika crow that allows her to brake flat and level (someone else's plane I helped setup)...weekend lets try....you can shallow dive here and crow and she comes to a pretty good slow down..

                      Here is the setup...

                      V tail down ....about 2mm
Aileron up 5-10mm...this if you setup too much causes her to pitch up
                      Flap down about 70deg...
                      Do you feel the RUSH....!!!!

I can set the V-Tail and flaps, but not the ailerons. All mixing channels used up.
