Frankly do you seriously think that a 3s 5000mah lipo is a small piece of battery ? This is an exploded view drawing of all the parts http://www.hpieurope.com/exploded_views/101702.pdf .

And here is the picture of the innards with some specifications http://www.hpieurope.com/kit-info.ph...&partNo=101402 .

Btw the rx is below the esc if you still cannot find the location of it . I believe i've answered all of your current questions . if you still insist on the height of the battery compartment . Go and find out the dimension of the 3s 5000mah soft pack lipo and you will know .

great thanks for your patience to clarify my doubts as there are too many battery types and trying to avoid choosing the wrong model.

        thanks thanks

Seriously , i'm considering modifying or removing the battery compartment to fit in my 3s bloated lipo . For rc car , usually the batteries used are either nimh or lipo . I don't have nimh but i heard its much safer to use then lipo but doesn't pack as much punch as a lipo when playing . If you want full power , then i suggest you use 3s lipo . Although 3s 5000mah soft case lipo may seem to be trying to burst out of the battery compartment when it gets bloated . But as much as the power concern , its simply wow . Although your esc will have thermal shutdown more often for it to cool down lol .
