i guess if getting a new system might as well get spektrum instead of getting something a little better than what i already have and needing to change later...
(and also not needing to have a frequency crystal helps)

Bro, nd to give you some advice about on road cars. Started zooming at Marina sth way back in 2001. First car was a V1S.Upgraded to so many cars.......V1R Evo, 05R,MTX 3, V1RRR. On road nitros are indeed expensive and you will burn a hole in your pocket. Its cheaper flying and more thrilling.Cheers!

its cheaper to get it from japan...
i was there 2 mths back and bought myself a 3r which cost me 39000yen.
was a good buy i might say... kit plus sirio engine.

hmm thats a good idea...
but i think my dads gonna get a V1RRR as well so mayb ill let him get his one first from hobby bug (so tht he can ask the guy for help when he needs) and then i can ask him to get me one from japan the next time he goes... which would be cheaper...

Nope i havnt bought the RRR yet... will have to wait some time due to the price

*Sigh* it appears that i have to get a new Tx as well cause the Sanwa MX-A i hav isnt advanced enough... (i think i have to get Spektrum?)

is the mugen mtx4 a 1/10 or 1/8?
i think ive seen some on the track but i thought it was a 1/8...

any idea if hobby bug (because i get my spares from there) has the mugen and has a availability of spare parts?

I asked the guy at hobby bug bout the total cost of RRR wit a
engine ranging from $300-400
new TX
Kit
Starter box

and he said would cost bout $1800

V1RRR is not cheap due to 1) they r race ready 2) they r Kyosho top of the line model. If you are not into pro racing but into some track friendly race i'll suggest you go for the V1RR model instead. The are about $600 to $700 cheaper. So after handling the V1RR well n you decided to go into pro level, then V1RRR or X-Ray/Team Magic will be a better choice.

Personally, i feel that i'll move on to Team Magic/X-Ray/Serpent after V1RR and no point going into V1RRR from V1RR

wheels 1 set abt 55 to 60

the startup for 1/8 cars is not a big issue

it is the maintainence that will burn ur wallet.

u now how many tyres those things will eat.... not to mention the fuel. .21 powered. plus all the little things(bearings, gears) that have to change...

when u but 1/8 u buy the best.. thus engine pipe ... blah blah.. all also must be the best..... then car must also always be in best condition... haiz.

buy 2nd hand cheaper...
