You can use a section of a long balloon, or cutoff tip of a latex glove. Not pretty but get the job done.

Meanwhile, sound out to those who's ordering from Towers/Offshore and tompang some pushrod boots.

Finally, one good way is to use the bellows from the bicycle brake. This one looks good too. I bought mine from the bicycle shop at Waterloo Centre.

I've some pics not so presentable waterproofing attempts using latex glove for my Villain's hatch. Works well.

For some people it's important to show what they have, for others it's sufficient to know that they have it.

Here's some pics of the bicycle brake 'bellows' being converted to pushrod boots for my Victoria.

Since when u go into wind power?

The bicycle bootee is kinda stiff, make sure u get the softest possible otherwise your servo will drain lots of juice.

Since quite a long time ago..... No time to sail with the guys on Saturdays, though.

Yup, agree that bootee (wah, learn a bew word today!) is a bit stiff. Wat to do, at that time can't find proper pushrod boots.

no kidding guys ...... I bought a pack of condoms and latex gloves to see which fits better. Its a very tight area and the gloves seems a bit big. But the gloves did well over my receiver and ESC switch.

Hmmmm...is the lubricant in the condom a plus?

not really, I hvae to wash out the lubricant. The reason is that I thought of that (by chance at 7/11) is because I need it to cap over a diameter of 8mm which the glove is too big. But I still don't like it, visually and psychologicall and would like to try something else. Best if I can get hold of some "bootie" locally if small and snug ones are available.

I looked at my MTB and think it is too hard. I am using Hitec 55 servos and they probably cannot take it.

One other thought - if I use the plane wire servo rods that goes thru a outer plastic tube will it work?

The plastic tube will act as a guide for the wire but how are you gonna keep the water out?

Another possible solution is to use a metal tube as guide through the transom and then place part of a long balloon over it, one end tied to the tube and the other end to the wire. The balloon will not impede movement.

Hi - Other than paint and trying out in the pond, this seems to be completed.

PS : Couldn't find the bootie at Toykar. Anyone find something more appealing than my make-do bootie pls let me know?

Your drive set is from the same site where you bought your hull?
