Juz back from Punggol Pond. I ran my boat on 3S 2150mah 20C DN lipo pack.

    1st run - 3mins, shiok!!!

    2nd run - abt 4mins, shiok!!!

    3rd run - abt 5mins, shiok!!!

4th run - 1min into run, esc up lorry liao. Lucky strong wind blow the boat towards shore.

3S lipo definately no good for this brush setup!!! motor very hot after each run. Did not check esc so I guess I fried the esc.

There r little water seeped into the hull, kinda of pin point the leak area, will touch up will aquarium silicone n monitor.

Overall boating damn shiok ah!!! For pics, check wif Hzm!!!

Glad you had a great time. As for the fried ESC, perhaps a cooling plate would have prevented the overheating.

As for the leak, since your boat's fiberglass, epoxy might be a better solution.
For some people it's important to show what they have, for others it's sufficient to know that they have it.

So how does the boat run? Slower than you expect? Difficult to control? Fast but bobbing up and down?

Another reason for water seepage is the hatch. It just slots in and not that waterproof. Of course a little bit of water is OK but you can reduce a lot by taping the hatch with electrical tape.

I found the leak already, its the cooling tube to the cooling coil of the motor. Will cable tie it to prevent any leaks!!!

I limit the throttle to 60% but the boat still bobbing up n dwn. Ammo helped me shift the batt pack forward a little(limited by battery tray) n its better liao.

Its fast enough for me. I think it can go faster but will slowly increase the speed as I get use to the controls.

Hmmm.....just shove the silicone tube deeper in. Cable tying is a good idea. You can also flare the end of the cooling coil a bit.

Yeah, go slow first. It's not so fun when the boat overturns.

Last month when I was at Jet, I was very tempted to get the Dolphin. It was listed at $165 then, now $175!

U know of any place to get cooling plate for the esc like the Jet hobby ones??? http://www.jethobby.com.sg/cgi-bin/e...6&cid=48&idx=1

Anywhere cheap or I'll just buy the one from Jet Hobby.
