How to install a cooling fan for charger

Does anybody know to connect a cooling fan to a lipo charger.
I have 12V 0.20A of cooling fan and would like to tap the power supply from the charger(Bantam BC6).
Any expert here can help me?

I have the same charger n was having a bit of problem with it. Sometimes a short time after starting to charge the display blinks off n the charging stops. Do u have same problem?

I was thinking of fitting a cooling fan too but decided to just put a fan on the side to blow air thru the side. I took off the side panel on the USB plug side for better air flow.

Back to ur query, remove the side panels n slide the bottom panel off. Note that the bottom panel is actually the heat sink for the power transistor and it's normal to get quite hot while charging. The big rectangular block u see is the power supply similar to those for laptops. Also note that there is some white heat transfer paste on the power transistor, but it's not physically attached to the bottom panel.

From the power supply unit u can see the black n red 12V output soldered to the pcb. U can solder ur fan wires to that. As I said I didn't actually do this fan mod but I drilled a small hole in the bottom panel and bolted the power transistor to it for better heat transfer.

If u install the fan do post again on how it turns out.

      BC6 with diy cooling fan

Well you can follow like what i did, bought a fan that about the same size of the BC6 charger and you place the charger over and the fan and it will suck the the hotair downwards. Im doing that for my BC6 too it works. You can see in one of my post that im selling the charger with the fan.The fan bought from Sim lim square.
