    looks promising bro....

but the 10 cycle limit relli puts me off..

    lets calculate this way...

eneloop with 2x AA eneloop batt- $47

eneloop batts last for- 1500 cycles.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    battizer- $97

average one pack of energizer AA batt. 2pcs -$2.50

    max cycle lifespan- 10 cycles.

$$ spent to match eneloop's 1500 cycles lifespan:

    (1500/10)x$2.50 = $375

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

so after 1500 cycles, you would've spent:

    on battizer and energizer : $375 + $97 = $472

on eneloop charger and its batts = $47

THATS LIKE MORE THAN 10X THE COSTS BRO!!!!

cant deny it, the vid got me excited but the cost...... wah piang!!!

    hope this helps..

    cheers..

      It depends on your usage..

For example, I can safely say that most people would have thrown away/stopped using those rechargeable AA in less then 200 cycle, due to lifespan of the battery being "too old".

A example of this usage would be for a consumer digital camera which uses 4 AA battery (thou more camera uses its own battery pack nowadays). The typical usage would be like once a week or longer before they would be recharging those battery, ie after a family outing on the weekend. So given that there is 52 weekend a year, total would take 4 years to hit 200 cycle. By then, the camera would have been faulty or more likely to have been replaced. If the usage pattern was much lesser like twice a week or once a month, the battizer would actually have a much stronger case.

Another example, would be for use in camera flash application (personal experience). This is one application in which rechargeable battery best shows its value. However, usually by the 100+ charge, the battery will deteriorated in its performance and storage enough for me change to a different pair. Seldom does it last past 150 cycles.

The battizer product strength is that it charges normal Alkaline Battery. Around the household, there are various usage for such battery. ie remote controller, clocks, flash lights etc.. which the battery last quite a long period which makes buying a rechargeable in practical. To side line a little.. most of these devices don't need powerful battery energizer, those normal on sales $1 for 4 pcs AA battery would be sufficient. Thus this point along also makes battizer a little impractical as well...

I saw this at Suntec city too. Was tempted. but found the price tag a bit high for experimenting. Furthermore it doesn't charge other sizes of battery.

        anyone has used it before?

as long as you don't drain the battery dry before a recharge, normal alkaline battery can be recharge over 100 times.

But so many batteries all over the home. Very hard to keep track.

            different usage.

Sure diff ppl got diff usage on batteries. this Battizer is good for normal home user to recharge their normal/alkaline batts for hsehold electronics like tv remote/kids's toys..etc.

The best thing is it's recycle the usage for normal batteries. but Batteries sell/manufacturer won't happy for sure..

I oso felt the price on the hi side. thus hvn buy yet. just wait....

I oso found a 8 cell AA,AAA 1hr chger, which can chg & reconditioning individually. then the price will up to >$150 for sure.
Just don know how good it is??
Anybody in DH hv this? or used it b4? mind to comment??

I got one from EastGear 3 years ago for $139, if I remember correctly. it does a good job of charging and conditioning the batteries. not sure if they still carry this brand..
