Lipo battery slightly warm after crushed

Hi everyone

Just crushed my heli few hours ago, and the lipo battery still warm to to the touch. Try to cold it in the freezer but it will get warm after taking it out. Is this the sign of internal short? The batt is not bloated.

I don't know what is happening to the battery, perhaps one of the cells has already gone bad.

If I were you, I would cut up the battery to look at the individual cells. You may still be able to salvage the other cells before the entire pack go bad.

Thanks for the reply. After posting this thread, the batt became warmer then previously. So I decided to save the good cell and cut up the pack. In my haste, i accidently broke the aluminum tab of the good cell. No choice but to decommission both

That is internal short/micro short happening in your batt. It will bloat after a sometime.

Good thing u got rid of it.

Since the batts are already a goner,

Charge them up with the wrong setting and blow it up into pieces!!!

Best if u can get it all in video!!!

Hah! Too late liao lah.. They were already cut open and had it's guts exposed to salt water
