lipo charger help!!

hi, recently bought a charger but without adaptor provided!!

so bought an ac-dc adaptor from sim lim tower, but within 15mins of charging, the adaptor emitted smoke! the adaptor is unable to transmit current to the charger ever since, think the fuse burnt. and the voltage selector popped out.


specs of the adaptor is 3-15v (set at 12v) 1200mA, brand SUPER S-1200R

specs of the charger is DC10-15v, 800-1000mA, brand E-STEER ES-C108B

battery charging at that moment was 3 cell 11.1v, 1200mAh, 10C

i have included pic of the charger, anybody using this charger with a suitable adaptor can intro to me? i can't fly my plane when i can't even charge my battery~ many thanks!!

bro, yr power supply adapter is under-spec...

u need at least 3A.

ehh.. for your adaptor.. you need to be careful.
Those multi voltage ones.. when they say 1200mA, it usually (not always) means 1200 at the lowest voltage, i.e. 3V in your case.

When you set it to 12V, it is rated only to give 400mA.

Get a switching AD-DC adaptor with a fix voltage..
e.g. those used notebooks adaptors at Sim Lim Square.

yup, get an adapter that can give out 3A at least...
