    Charging batteries at 2.2A

I have seen some thread, and they recommend 1.5-1.8A.

My batteries indicate charge at 2.2A max.

But my hyperion EOS0607i charger cant adjust its Amps, its auto.

Wad can i do to reduces its Amps??

Pls advise me. Appreciate ur kind help.

What mAH is your battery? I assume it is 2200mAH.

There is no fixed rule for current use to charge lipo as long as within the spec of the battery manufacturer and general understanding is charge at no more than 1C (2.2A for a 2200mAH pack). Anything lower will prolong your charging time but will not improve your battery performance.

Some newer quality brand lipo like flightpower can fast charge at 2C without problem.

all u need to do is just charge at 1 c ... EG
        3200 mah .. just charge at 3.2a
        2100 mah = 2.1a
        1000 mah = 1a
and so on and so fourth

          Yeah will do.

My charger auto charge at 2.2a for 2200mah.

I tot will affect the battery performances to charge at 2.2a.

            its rated 1C or 2C ...
so 2200 mah at 2C will be 4.4amps

              1C..

My lipo cannot charge 2C, max 2.2A 1C charge only.

Currently im charging 1.7A for 2200mah lipo.

Well Louis, it's totally safe and will not affect the battery performance to charge at 1C, in this case, follow the charger, @2.2A.

For my preference, I give myself a thumb rule of 75% of recommended charge rate.
Reason being, I try not to place too much trust on the charging. It may state 2.2A charging but if due the some inaccuracy with charger and it charges at say 2.4A
                  But then, its just preference

But charging at 2C, the battery will shorten its life span right??

TP extreme V2 can charge at 2C??

A123 system batteries is capable of charging at 10A without affecting the battery life. No matter how big is you battery, it's at 10A only.
