    Dented Lipo

It is not safe! Dented, crushed lipos means that the internal layers are deformed and there is a danger of them short circuiting itself any time.
u can continue to use it if u want to and risk having your house on fire one day when the lipo feels like it.

End of the day, if something bad does happen and the matter gets big, they will come down on all r/c people in the country.
You never know what will happen just becos of some seemingly simple actions.

    It's ur call

explosion happen the same way local and overseas, regardless of sahara desert or greenland.

Purposely trying it locally is like baring ur ass to the authorities and holding a large signboard saying " Kick it"

When you guys are done with the fun, the next thing to follow will be the consequences

don't think there will be any chance of the goverment banning lipo coz lipo tech has been around for long and everywhere, hp, laptop...etc...

if they ban lipo, maybe they might ban lighters soon

                Dear friends,

I have burn a lipo before, without using a lighter...or should I say, they just burn themsleves, so now I keep them in very safe containers...

Immediately the day after I saw a lipo burn, I when to purchase a glass jug with air tight lock to store them...some friends advise that the air tight lock might create compression and explode, so now I store them in metal containers..

Never use water to try extingush Lithum fire...you are doubling the burning effect.

Before I have seen a lipo burn for myself, I though that it is quit safe as it is use in Laptop, cell phone etc...but you are wrong...this devices usually have a protective cover that will try to contain if fire occurs..your RC lipo are bare...

The flame are not very controllable when it start to burn....its good to see it yourself in a safe manner, then you won't treat this lipo cells lightly, especially for those who have spend a bomb building their own home...

                Take care...
                Regards

Storing in a metal case would shoot shrapnel in the event of extremely high compression, like a grenade
                  Failure is not final,
                  Success is never ending:
It is not the destination but the journey that matters.

                  Wadever the journey, keep flying!

Agree with Bon... That is how u make grenade.

If u want to use container... make sure there is a vent for high presure release or do not cover the lit in tight fit.

BTW... one of these days I would like to make a Li-Poly explode but I think it is not that impressive because it is covered by weak plastic like cover. To really make it explode, u need to harden or put it in harden container.

Juz put a airtight plastic container, then pour in a package of ball bearings...
Throw in a pack of 4S or more lipo cell, there u have it..
