Interesting Read. FlightPower vs Hyperion LiPo Batts

Hi guys,

Short of starting a flame war , I thought that this would be an interesting read for all of us... well at least those that havent read the RCGroups post yet.

I'm not trying to take any sides but i think its good for us to know what we are getting ourselves into when we buy certain products that might "appear" to be better or cheaper.. but maybe at a hidden price . Pls be a little open-minded when you read this post. Also if this was already posted I apologise, but when i looked through the forum i didnt see anything on this.

er..... who sells Hyperion battery ah ?? Actually i have never seen anyone using it.

So far only know PQ, TP, FP, DN.

I got my Hyperion bat from BPP last yr.quality Ok la, 5 usd cheaper than Thunder power for 3s 16C 2100 mah. but hor, it took almost 2 months to deliver.. and hor, i've actually ordered thunder power, end up BPP sent me Hyperion, after they realised their mistake they gave me 50% discount for 6 pcs of hyperion. I've sold them to Adrianli,HZM...etc. kept 2 for Trex,lasted 120 flight already and still manage to get 8 mins of mild flight.

5 usd difference for 16C hyperion ? The Tp should be 20C right ?
I'm not sure how long my lipo last but 8 mins sounds good. Anyway u r the only guy i know that has such an efficient Trex leh never see u complain motor or esc hot hot

Nowadays i stop reading the small print on the lipo already. Feels its like another crap movie critic saying wat ever IT likes.

What i go for, in order of choice
1) price, the cheaper the better. If it dies young i wouldn't so much
2) weight and dimension
3) capacity
3) discharge, seems like the common standard now all 20C

seems logical.

guess its personal preference .. good thing is the war between FP n HYP will hopefully lead to a price war as well... which will be good for us consumers. The LiPos are definitely over priced .. kinda like diamonds in a way.. controlled supply to generate the large proportional demand... so the more batt companies come in .. the better for us in the long run. anyone tried the HTX batts that are like 1/2 the price of the TP batts and apparently equally as good????
