    charging lead acid battery

    hihi
when you charge those motor-cycle lead acid batteries, do you charge with a limited current? I am thinking of using my computer power supply to pump in current, but can the battery take it? coz computer supply can pump in 12V at 35A max if i am not wrong.

don't know leh, but I think lead acid must charge at higher voltage than 12v, my charger for lead acid charge @13.8v, 1A

i have seen pple using car batteries to charge car batteries. so by using this idea, can we still use a power supply to charge a car battery?

???you mean when one car cannot start then use another car battery connect to start ah?don't think that is charging, is more like using the other battery in parrallel, then start liao, disconnect and let the charger of the car charge it...

btw, don't know you know not, our lead acid 12v without load is almost empty liao...full is around 13v...

Charging lead acid requires constant voltage/ variable current charger. (similiar to lipo charging) Using a normal power supply to charge is not advisable, if left on for too long, the batt will get damage.

If you have a Schulze charger, it can be use for charging lead acid.
