Lipo batt damaged?

Hi guys, I picked up a HBT last year but put off flying for a while. Recently dusted off the box and tried to charge up the lipo (etec 2s (?)) but to no avail. It would charge for hours on the Apache 2030 but never complete charging and the error light was permanently on on the Apache balancer. The connections are definitely correct but I noticed the lipo batt looked slightly bloated...

When connected to the HBT, there's no power at all.

Do I need a new lipo? Do they 'expire' after some time?

Check the voltage of the pack. If the voltage is not there, most probably its dead. I can't comment on lifespan of lipo, but I have had packs that last 2years+ and still working and some just bloat and kill a cell within a year.

Got no voltmeter. Any other way to test? I have tried to connect it to the HBT and that's about it. Thks!

try smelling your lipo batt if there is any sweet scent?? if there is, there is a high chance of your batt is dead.
