Uhm, i got a question. Is it alright to control flaps with 2 position switch (only full down and full up) on funcub in terms of sudden(and fast) full flap deployment? Is it dangerous for the plane, to spin or something or the flaps/servos getting destroyed?

It is ok to do full down/full up. BUT before going to that 100% setting, I will advise u to start to set up the flaps from 0% to 25%, then proceed from 25% to 50% & so on. Reason is u need to compensate the the flap % with the correct elevator %.

If your settings straight go to 100% full flap down, u might not be able to react due to incorrect % setting of the elevator, which will cause your plane to either make a sudden dive or nose up

err, maybe i wasn't enough specific. my tx only has 5 channels with no mixing whatsoever, and the fifth channel is a gear switch, which i want to use for flaps. So yeah i know this is not best way of doing this, and as for plane reaction, i would of course test it on enough altitude and on low speed and until i get used to the plane i wont do this 0-100% flaps on low altitude. So my main concern is, is it dangerous for the plane, and if the plane reaction on this sudden change of wing configuration can be somehow predictable, or its gonna be random every time i'll deploy flaps

          Motor/ESC combi?

Just got a Fun Cub kit recently, but the power set was a bit too

May I know what other type of motor has been fitted and flown successfully on the Fun Cub? ..... Of course KV and power must be closely matching but there's also the matter of dimensions, for installation, and weight, for CG concerns.

          Any 40A ESC is sufficient?

For the rudder and elevator servos, I see that many are using HS-65... any cheaper alternative tried and tested? Turnigy?

Is it possible to operate 6 servos including flaps, without resorting to a separate BEC?

          Thanks in advance.
