Hi everyone!
i'm new to RC flying & i've bought a ST cessna 182 for my first RC flight.
this was not my first ARF, it was a starmax F35 initially but after hearing many said the F35 will sure 95% crash at maiden prompted me to get a 'trainer' instead.
after building up the cessna 182, i tried to setup the plane's avionics but i have problem. the aileron, supplied & fixed on the main wing can't be centered even when i put the ch1 stick to neutral. also, there's a kinda of servo sound coming from the same servo as if the throw is still moving no doubt my stick is at the end point. can someone help me on this?
one note is this version is NOT the one JH selling currently. my cessna has flaps. take a look at the rear end shot.
also, after reading many forums on motor / esc overheating & burning, i open up as many ducts as i can hide on the cowl to aid cooling further.
this plane is well known for weak landing gears, i now know why. the plane weighs over a 1kg in RTF & the struts used are of the worst type, very soft & shaky. in fact the plane stood lower overnight when i left it there!
so i used some styrene sheets & 30min epoxy to strengthen those gears weak points, now it looks mean!
being a novice, i'll be doing my maiden flight in punggol this sunday to test it out. after spending numerous hours on simulation, my chances of crash has reduce to 75%...we shall see.
