I also broke the screw thread end of one of my tail push rod coz the clevis couldn't screw in fully and when I tried to screw it in harder, using a pair a pliers to hold on to the rod, the damn thing broke. Now I have to go buy a new pair of rods...

buy a glider, then fly like a glider la... glider is suppose to be relax flying . not zoom zoom.

i used to have a EZ glider. fun and relax plane to fly.

a stock e-hawk is very nice to fly liao. dont over power it and keep it light. long long time a ago a good friend pass us his e - hawk for some flying fun.

i think it had a axi 22-16 26 on a 8x4 prop .. something in that region and a small 3 s battery. can stay up in the air for long time.
i'm a rc sotong. And i know nuts about it.

Yeah, hehe........i usually fly relax, the people at the field always disturb me saying i making them sleep

Usually people at woodlands field fly Nitro Warbird and aerobatic planes, super fast one, no one fly glider except some guys who goes to the middle of the field, i always stay near the road cuz got trees for shelter.

Sometimes i feel kind of bored and neck pain haha.......so far, the longest i was up there is only 26mins and i am pretty tired liao so i brough it down but still alot of batt power left.

What batts do you use for your Ehawk? I plan to use my 2200mAh coz I dun want to buy extra batts as I already have about 6 that I use for my mini-T...

Any recommendations for prop size for the ehawk 1500? I would like to use aero-naut props together with the stock Ripper motor and 40A ESC. Thanks...

              Hi,
Is your eHawk 1500 the new model from Thunder Tiger? Thinking of getting this for gliding. Can you please give your opinion on this bird? I heard that it's a bit heavy for it's size.....

              Thanks.

                Hi msc,

Earlier on this thread, I did mention 2 frustrations I had, one for the rear wing securing base and with the push-pull rod (I replaced that with du-bro). I also included a RC Groups thread on a build-method by a modeller overseas...

                  Kar Marn,
its a very good bird, very light for its size. However need to iron out a few small things. Its a good buy for its price.

I am at the edge of dark side already....I just need to look at the real thing first. Is the fuselage as tough as it looks? Also, what is the bestest deal from Rotor? I don't need any motor in the kit.

Its $147 (+ 5% discount if you got m'ship). It's sold worldwide with a TT Ripper 28/29 motor. I've seen it fly and was impressed so waited since early Dec to buy it. I've not maiden it yet but hoping to do so this Sunday...

As its very light, it is not very strong. Mine took a few bad crash and still in 1 piece. The kitt comes with motor from TT so never sell seperate. I got 2 of them... wahahaha. Really a good bird.

Yup,the rear wing hold-down can be a pain to install....

                          This is what i did:
dremel/sand to round off the top edges of the ply plate so that it can fit snuggly into the fuse. I think the corners off the fuse has excess build up of resin from manufacturing process preventing good fit with the supplied ply part.

To prevent epoxy from clogging up the screw tread of the blind nut, i fill them with some silicone grease. Both wing mounts are then epoxied in and when the epoxy is cured till tacky, i place the wing over and install the 4 hold down screws which are also greased. This allows for alignment to be made to make sure the wings are squared to the fuse. Finally the epoxy is left to fully cure with the wings screwed on to hold the ply plates in place.

I saw that thread Basher posted too late and already epoxied in the torque rod. Nonetheless, i'll also be modding for wing mounted aileron servos.

                                Bro,

actrually quite ez to put in:

                                1. Put epoxy both ply
                                2. Insert the ply and bolt 1 wing with 2 screws
                                3. Insert the carbon tubes
                                4. Mount the other wing and hand tight
                                5. Adjust the wing make sure its center
                                6. Fasten the wing and let it dry.

Some lub on the screws will help to avoid kanna epoxy.

                                EZ as ABC
