I've only flown mine on the stock setup using 1300 3s so far, has been pretty good for me. Next step is to wait for more stocks so i can do one up to push for higher speeds.
I did have a customer who feedback poor performance on the stock setup, we suspect it could be due to imbalance fans leading to rubbing and low rpms.
Hence it is highely recommended to simply check the fans by throttling up slowly and feeling for excessive vibrations and fan case rubbing.

From the video I had two negative feedback
1) 1300mah Lipo is just too puny to do a good Job.
2) The battery compartment is design for a small size batteries ...what the!!
....and if someone want to go 4S lipo setup ....you need to do a lot of hacking to the battery compartment LOL.

Thought you always say that EDF cannot be too powerful, if not then the following will happen:
1) Battery gets hot and died prematurely.
2) Burn ESC.
3) Burn motor
4) Blade broken during max power.
Are you aware that Aerosmith is selling the X concept full setup with 2200mah 35C 4 cell setup? Please go to Fook Hai B1 and have a look....

Hi 14 Blade my comment has got nothing to do with Aerosmith.
Don't get me wrong. I am giving feedback base on the video that was put into this thread. If you watch carefully the video on what is expected out of the kit,the guy took out a 1300maH battery that comes with the kit.
Next the video zoom to the batt. compartment and looks kind of small and limited space.
(Base on my experience with the 1300mah 3S lipo that comes with the previous F18 kit on a 64mm EDF, the brand new jet crashes because the lipo cannot sustain the flight.)
Whether, this 1300mah Lipo that comes with the Concept X jet can give a good flight has yet to be proven.
Another thing I like to correct your statement is I never say the EDF cannot be too powerful.
Yes I have a fair share of broken impeller during flight and have thrown numerous motor into the thrash bin after a few flight . Thats is because the motor is running hot and at too high Kv for the flimsy blade to handle that kind of RPM.
For high rpm or power I go for better Wemotec EDF or simply lower the power whichever works best. I have some other tricks up my sleeve to prevent or reduce such mishap but am not going to discussed in this thread. It will be off topic in this thread.

I have flown mine with 1300 3s pack, 4 mins is a pretty safe flight time.

The manufacturer did recommend cutting out the compartment if bigger packs are desired.
The top canopy foam can also be cut away to accomodate.

pretty normal for such foam planes.. all my foam EDFs are heavily modified. Throw away almost everything stock and put in better quality replacements..
Even went so far as to reinforce the wings with carbon fibre rods...

This plane has carbon spars pre-embedded in each wing half together with a center spar which is glued in after putting the wings together

Hi RCS,
Compare to some EDF kit that I have encounter , I believe overall the Concept X are a better design EDF jet kit .
Yes, I can see from the video review that the bigger battery capacity and better power plant is the way to go.
