Wemotec480 EDF(70mm)on 4S setup

I have been keeping this well made EDF for quite sometime so decided to test them out.


1) The wemotec480 with Typhoon EDF 3W .(3.020Kv/V) using 3S 2250mah=19 amps at 30440rpm

2)The wemotec480 with Typhoon EDF 3W .(3.020Kv/V) using 4S 25C 3700maH=30amps at 39200rpm

Going to check out the fan performance using 4s setup on the 900mm Wingspan Mugi .
Initial test shows that the thrust is very strong at max power.

The Wemotec EDF was successfully test flight with the Mugi. It flew pretty good with plenty of thrust.
After flying for about 6minutes. The battery is just warm to the touch .
After the battery cools down , the 4S 4000maH battery reads 15v.
This is a great EDF setup , it means I can use a lighter and smaller capacity 4S lipo in future and still have good flying time.

Thread #66 shows the rpm/ thrust of the wemotec 480.

At around 39200rpm, the projected thrust is around 950gm -1kg for the 4 cells + typhoon edf 3w motor setup.
