        Hi Bro,

Better change the motor to the Topband 4900KV, I am using this motor in F-15, F4 Phantom and Bae Hawk.... powerful... launching is a breeze... sure fly one...

Cost of it is $35 per piece.... current drawn is about 42Amp using GWS 6 (64mm) blades, half throttle enough to can fly after launching.....

        Available from Sky hobby...

PM me if you need help...

                  Hi Raven,

                  May I have your advise.

I have a 2006/2007 made foam F-14 with no swing wing. Apparently I am using two 4900kv EDF drive the 68mm fan with stand alone 3S 2200 lipo., on bench run, each motor draw 35A +/- which I though it should be enough to launch the plane, however, the maiden was failed due to poor thrust power even I go with full throttle . The only lucky thing is, the plane is still in one piece.

Would u mind to share your set up and advise? Thanks in advance.

                    Hey Dave,

Think you got the same EPF F-14 as mine. You need to open up cheater holes close to the fan cos the original intake duct is too small.(Makes hell lot of difference!) Just be careful not to cut any wires while your doing it. I down size the fans from 2 x 70mm to 2 x 64mm. Shifted the fans back nearer to the tail cones 3 inches from the exhaust to prevent loss of thrust.

                    Running on:
                    2 x 3500kv
                    4s2P 2200mah 30c
                    2 x 40amps ESC

                    Regards

P.S. Ong, sorry for the O.T...

                      Hi Raven,

Thanks for your quick response, looks like u r on line now

From the picture, yes, we both have the same model

I did cut some cheater holes (per those early build thread), in fact, I cut 4 sqaure holes (10x17mm) at the same position u shown in your enclosed picture.

By the way, are u using the outrunner that used in the SU-34? From your set up, I assume u are using 1 (one) 4S batt. to drive two EDF motor, am i right?

Look forword to your reply. Thanks.
