got an editor? use the stabilization feature most of the fancy ones have.
Or when youtube asks u if you want to let it stabilize your footage... click yes.

Or just use a cheaper tripod and ask him to aim it from there. Removes the need for stable hands or stabilization in post.

I think he is doing very well, and to me, that's all that at matters, maintaining the quad in the frame while working the zoom is not easy on a moving target that he doesn't know where its going next.

I'm also very happy that he finds my hobby interesting enough to get up early on a Sunday morning and follow me out to flying field.

I have tried the YouTube stabilisation "feature" and was not very happy with the results so I post "as recorded" video.

If my video makes you giddy, then don't watch it.

Well I do some work in film so my expectations are different when I look at videos. my feedback was meant to help you get better footage in the future not disparage your son from recording videos or anything, I was repeatedly giving you alternatives on how to improve your video, if you take this the wrong way, well to each his own.

Instead of watching you fly, why not just get him a ladybird or other micro quad and teach him to fly instead.

my son does fly the F330, the IOC mode is really great for him to enjoy flying without needing to worry about orientation

Great job quadflyer, getting 'em started young, eh?
Meanwhile, I've maidened my quad 2 days back, and am flying 2-3 packs a day since then. Been having fun. Now, if only I could fly nose-in...
Am really surprised at how tiny the movements of the sticks ought to be.

Cool. At some point I'll probably pick up some F330 frames and learn to do acro stuff, seems like the perfect frame for it!
