    Dji f330

After all the rain yesterday I finally managed to get some flights in early this morning

I've managed to squeeze a Naza with GPS onto this small F330 frame, the GPS position-hold is rock solid and I get nearly 9 mins flight time from a 1800mah with a total take-off weight of 900grams.

Just want to find out how you attached the heli skids (450-size) to the DJI 330 frame?

Cable tie only? Or a more secure way?

If I'm not mistaken, the lower frame is a power distribution board from lipo to the ESCs, so it cannot be readily drilled for attaching skids, etc.?

    NIB: Multiplex FunCub, HK T-45.

I found a heli skid at Sing Hobby that had mounting holes the same distance as the lower frame mounting bolts. That makes it secure and becomes part of the whole frame.

I never use the power distribution board, I prefer to use a wiring "spider", as it then lets me drill mounting holes if I need

Hi Truck Basher, yeah, the night flying was fun, it was a good crowd, shame it kinda faded away.
I still fly at Buangkok, especially since there is construction on the ECP field
I mostly fly early on Sunday mornings, the air is cool & still.
          Are you still flying quads?
Have you seen any of the guys from the nite flying group lately?
I kinda lost touch for awhile, was flying the AR Drone 2.0, but the "poison" got me again and I wanted to build another RC quad, so here I am with a F330 all loaded up with Naza & GPS.

Yeah its been a while, I saw some of them and they are mostly flying planes/glider in tuas and OHR.

The smallest I have now is the VTAIL 400 (night flyer). I invested a bit on bigger multi now hard to travel with them lol...

The Vtail looks nice, I've seen it on a few forums, its a shame the Naza doesn't support that config.

I had some nice flights at Buangkok field this morning.

Here's a photo of the Naza GPS hold in action, its rock solid, I think I could have gone off to the nearby coffeeshop for breakfast and come back and it would still be in the same location

yeah, I wish the batteries lasted that long, hahaha.

approx 9mins hover on GPS hold from a 3S 11.1v 1800mah batt with approx 900g take-off weight is quite good, i think

                        really cool man...

did u try loading it with a bigger battery maybe 5000-6000mah and see how long it flies?
With Stock DJI motors this should be able to lift up to 1.2kg.

                        zippy compact 5000mah 3S only weighs 354grams.

there's not much space on the top platform, the 1800mah battery is a nice fit in terms of size, capacity & weight.

I'm very happy with the set-up, 9 mins flight time per battery is ok for me, if I want to fly longer, i carry more battery packs
