Firstly, apologies if this is the wrong place for this post.
I have a very old, OS Max 35 FP, like the one in the attachment, which I bought something like 20+ years ago, ran in, never actually flew with it, and then kept away after pouring in castor oil to preserve the internals.
I wanted to restore it and see if it can still run, and of course, everything has seized together. During disassembly, I inadvertently broke the 2 tiny round teflon pieces at the end of the wrist pin (at the top smaller end of the con rod) and also caused a small dent on the bottom edge of the piston.
Does anyone have one of this engine, preferably, non working, does not matter if the case is cracked or whatever damage it has.
I would like to salvage the teflon pieces, and maybe even the piston, although changing the piston may not necessarily be a good idea, since the piston and cylinder liner had already been run in as a set.
I know engines are not as expensive now as long ago, but well, a bit of sentimental value involved here.
