WTS: Large Hirobo petrol helicopter (1998 Eagle2 GS) restored to flying condition

    WTS: Hirobo SST Eagle2 GS

This is a 2-stroke petrol helicopter, not nitro aka glow-fuel.
Engine size is 24cc. Power may be equivalent to .60-size nitro.
Stock blades are 660mm, presently installed blades are 680mm carbon-FRP FunKey.
Flying weight is 6kg, or slightly less.

    Some advantages:
    - Running cost is much cheaper than glow-fuel
    - Practically no visible smoke, unless you like visible smoke
    - Less oil residues all over the heli, compared to glow
    - No glow plug and electric starter needed. Just a pull-cord, which can be tiring, if things are not set up right.

    Some disadvantages:
    - parts are less common
    - petrol odour might be worse than glow-fuel
    - louder than glow

    Price is $600.
    Includes:
    - Tail stuff: GY501 + S9205
    - Cyclic servos: 3 pieces of HG-D650HB
    - FunKey 680mm CFRP main blades (one set)
    - Switching UBEC: HobbyWing 8A, 15A max, for 2/3S Lipo
    - misc tools and parts

    Excludes:
    - Receiver
    - Batteries

i.e. To fly, you need to have, transmitter, batt for receiver, petrol + 2T oil.

More photos and discussion in my thread here. As you can see, I bought this kit in 1998 from SHS for $1850, and the GY501+S9205 was $560.

      Defects

Want to make a list of defects...
      - One missing rubber grommet for canopy attachment. using a scrap piece of rubber now
      - No engine heat shield, as detailed in this thread. It became brittle, and it crumbled, I still have the remnants, so you can cut a new one from suitable material.
      - lost the original fuel clunk+felt filter. It now has an aluminium inline filter as a clunk.
      - one skid strut has a deep abrasion, sustained many yrs ago, patched with epoxy. seems to be no problem even with my poor flying.

      Nice bits:
      - new tygon tubes
      - tail boom and tail drive shaft are new
      - most philips screws have been changed to allen hex.
      - two spare spindles, new.

          Hi all,
I was pleasantly surprised with the response.

I want to conduct this sale fairly while recouping as much as I can.
Please private-message or public-post your offers. (can be below or above the start price of $600)
Let's stick to multiples of $10 ok? For the sake of decisive and serious buyers, and save time.
And I plan to (but not promise to) conclude and deal on this SUNDAY.

Oh ya, main blades are also very new, only spun thru one tank.

Some carb needle tuning will be required, as you can see from my videos... very low headspeed, until the end when the tank was emptying.

                    Hi all,
There still isn't a definite high bid price yet (all the buyers don't want to say a number leh, although some people say they want it at 600.)
I plan to barter with a friend, (who viewed it flying at BBAFC yesterday), if no one wants this more than him :p
