WTS: Kyosho EP Caliber M24 Schweizer

Selling for a friend who decided to give up on this coz he cannot fly it.
I've tried it but cannot fly it either. Can't figure out wat's wrong.

    NOT-SO-RTF Schweizer full kit.
Kyosho Perfex TX @ 35.???mhz (Futaba OEM Skysports4 i think)

Minimum willing to let-go-price is at $300, but I think it's a bit too high for a micro heli that cannot lift off....If not I'd have taken it...

    Looks damn nice though...

Any takers, pls PM your offers to me coz the kit is with me at this moment, and he tasked me to sell it for him....

I was so tempted to buy it fom him, but somehow I can't get it flying...
Now I'm not sure if I should just try to get some FP blades for replacement, and if it flies, I'll just get take it....

The construction of the heli looks quite sturdy though.....looks tougher than any china-made micros. Tail assemble looks like dragonfly-type, but servo & swash mechnism a bit different.

Locally macham no parts arrived in SGP yet...I tried calling Hobby Link & Swan model, all said no stock for parts....my friend bought it from Hobby place, and i dun have their contact.

I checked the web, but people say it cannot use lipo packs....stock battery was 9.6v, and I tried 2cell....works fine at 7.4v also...never tried 3cell coz I dun have 3 cells...

Well, I hands itchy and tried again with my 2cell lipo.....the typical situation when our own helis cannot fly or needs trimmings...

It does lift off, but never more than 2inches off ground.....CG balance was off since I used the lighter lipo, and this is my diagnostic:-

Stock battery probably is a gonner and thus motor cannot deliver enough RPM.
And with my lipo, it cannot lift high enough coz it's only rated 7.4v. Battery low light came on very fast coz the ESC probably detcted low batt voltage since it was rated for 9.6v

Main rotor's tracking was still out, but at least i've verified that the heli lifts now....I'm gonna try cycling the stock batt with my own charger to ee how it goes. coz stock charger is strangly rated at 7.2v 200mah to charge a 9.6v pack?!!!

Still avail for sale though I'm half tempted to keep it now...

I suspect the provided motor is one of the higher voltage mabuchis since the stock batt pack is 9.6V. There is two versions one is 7.2V version and a 6V version. I reckon they provided the 7.2V version which won't be able to fly the thing higher than a feet or two with 2S which provides 8.4V max. I tried one 7.2V version in my Feda with 2s and power was dissapointing. Put back the 6V version and it has more than enough power to fly as high as you want.

Don't try 3s packs as it will most likely burn the BEC on the all in one board. Try the motor change first. Its like $15 for a GWS 370 6V.

Nah...I'm not gonna try replacing motor...not mine yet...

See who's interested, then buy it and change....I'm eyeing the 2nd hand Zap400 on sale at Yahoo auctions...

Just seen a similar stock Kyosho M24 flew damn well with 3cells. This means that the ESC can take 11.1v

                    Any takers?
