Hello guys
I guess its come to the end of the road for me. I accepted a job overseas and i've been in Jakarta since the end of January. Looking at how things are going, i don't have the time to continue this hobby, not to mention there aren't any flying fields anywhere near me.
So i'm selling my beloved, still very new, Logo 500SE.
Its done only 5 flights (meaning its gone through 5 battery packs in the air) and there were all hovering flights to tune the gyro. Specs are as follows:
Logo 500SE
Blades: 550mm (i forgot what brand they are, but not branded for sure - fit them on for the maiden and tuning so if anything goes wrong it won't hurt the pocket as much)
Pinion: 11T M1 MIK4411
Main Gear: 106T M1 MIK4183
Motor: KDE Direct 600XF 1175kv (http://www.kdedirect.com/KDE600XF1175.html)
ESC: Hobbywing 100A (this is the Gaui edition which comes with gold coloured heatsinks)
Cyclic Servos: Savox 1267SG High Voltage (http://www.savoxusa.com/Savox_SC1267...avsc1267sg.htm)
Tail Servo: Savox 1290MG (http://www.savoxusa.com/Savox_SH1290...avsh1290mg.htm)
Gyro: Skookum Robotics SK540
All for $1,500 negotiable
Also included are:
- Original canopy is the
- Fusuno Jolly Bee canopy (http://fusuno.com/product_info.php?c...ducts_id=15555)
- Rotortech 560mm main blades
- Skookum Powerbus
If you’re interested, I’ve also got batteries for sale:
4pcs of Revolectrix Diamond 60C 6S 5000mah packs - $100 each
(each batt only discharged 2 to 3 times and kept at storage mode since)
At this stage, I need to put this out in case it matters to you. As I’m now based in Jakarta, circumstances don’t give me a lot of flexibility to accommodate most requests to view and deal. For the moment, below are the dates that I’ll be in Singapore as far as I can confirm:
27 Apr – After 6pm (I’ll land at 5pm)
3 – 4 May – Whole days
I am contactable on whatsapp at +65 9049 9580 and on PM.
Do note that the heli (boom, blades and tailcase is disassembled) is with me in Jakarta at the moment, still in its “export” packaging. =)
Now, if you’re still with me and would like to know more about the history of this bird, read on.
It started as a Logo 500 Super Combo, which I bought from RCS. Wanting it to run 550mm main blades with 92mm tail blades, I decided to stretch it just to be sure.
On the 4th tuning flight, I landed on slightly uneven ground and my tail took a slight knock. I didn’t see any damage so I didn’t think too much about it. But on the next flight about a week later, vibes started to show. Towards the end of pack no.5, I noticed the tail fin vibrating more than usual. So after that flight, I took off the main blades and spooled it up – vibes in the tail confirmed.
I thought it was a case of unbalanced tail blades so I changed out my tail blades when it got back. Found out it wasn’t unbalanced tail blades when the tail case exploded at about 80% power (without the main blades on of course). Here’s where the good news comes in:
1. I escaped without a single scratch.
2. Now I have a reason to upgrade to the carbon tail.
So I blew $240 the next chance I got to visit RCS on the carbon tail upgrade, new tail rotor assembly, new boom, new belt, etc.
I started to put the new stuff together but never got to finish it before I left for Jakarta and here I am now looking to sell my baby.
