Or I should ask, what is the recommended prop size?

Yes the motor works fine for the X-Tech range of planes.
It swings a 10x6 APC prop with authority.

Ahhhhh........
The AXI version is a bit to small (or overworked).
The next bigger one should be good enough.

On the otherside the combo is cheap (30A ESC + Motor).
