    Focke-Wulf TA183 Huckebein at SCDF on 6th Nov 2010

This is the first time I have spotted this aircraft. This jetfighter was developed by the Germans during WWII.

At the end of WW2, the Soviets rolled up what was left of Nazi Germany, taking scientists, plans and prototypes back to the Soviet Union.

Not surprisingly, the Soviets later also came up with a rather similar looking early jet fighter - the well-known MiG-15.
