Creepy Crawling at Bukit Batok Nature Reserve

Well...a change of venue for us after countless offroading at Japanese Gdn. Interesting marshland style scale trucking at Bkt Batok Nature Reserve.

Pretty happy with this Vid...We all seem to be driving at scale speed! Brilliant! and it's nice to take it slow and steady.

KHPan...I hope all's well for you and your family from the little misadventure you had. Join us the next time round!

    Enjoy the Vid.

Nope, it's the same shocks. Looks taller coz the stock 1.9 tires are much smaller compared to the 1.9 Proline Flat Irons.

I`m also interested into getting my next toy, but have few question to ask.

I`m interested in the Axial SCX10 scale series, but since they have a new release RTR version, so thinking of buying it as I like the scale shell( I`m a scale modeler myself! ) with cage and lights!!!

But have a question regards the RTR supplied motor, which is a 27 Turn 540 size, with FDR around 34:1( 20T pinion, 87T spur ). With this motor and FDR, how does it run?? Have heard hese lower turns wil have low torque, thus cant climb @ high angles. So usually what turns and FDR should these crawlers match with? And what`s best ESC to use??

The SCX10 TR retails @ US$299( States LHS ), compares to SCX10 kit @ US$239 ( ****** ). So I was thinking is it worth to get the RTR if the motor and esc needs to be upgraded... also, I also dun need the stock radio system. Therefore get the kit and buy the required motors and esc will be better option, and also get a nicer scale shell for the kit too!

oops!!! Just realise I wrote too must for my first post, and also, RTECH is my drift mate, whom I think some of you guys will might know him...
Suggest to go stock first (as it is in the RTR-if come with it), cos it is not a touring car that requires speed n alot of up grades or hop up tunning for the start. We are using stock 27 T and also 55 T motor (not even brushless motor) both can do the job. We go for long play-time and basic crawling/trailing going around in slow walking speed, with alot of interesting terrain (water, rocky, sandy, steep, tall grass area etc) so to take picture and to test the truck behaivour. ESC we are using the normal basic tamiya TEU , basic rooster, thunder tiget ACE veloci etc.

If you like to be ready and going for the best, you may consider set of tyres , beadlock rims, shocks / shocks spring sets, waterproof servo, good drive shaft (the main driver to the axial), very scale body shell, waterproof receiver (if have).

Welcome you to join us in the actual trail/crawling tomorrow (location mention in forum) see the truck spec, how we setup and discussion.

    cheerz

I have read many reviews about the RTR. Most were positive ones. Especially with the LED bumpers and spare tire. However, the RTR parts are mostly made up of plastics, unlike the kit.
It all boils down to ur own liking. For me, I believe in building the truck myself for a better understanding of the whole rig. Since u dont need the stock radio system, I suggest getting the kit. At the same time u can choose which motor and esc u wanna run. As for the shell, there are so many available for u to customise ur own rig

    Just my 2 cents
