I don't know what you'll think. After seeing those high performance sailplanes climbing sky high and zipping around the sky, I don't know whether you'll enjoy much even if the heli does soar. You may have proven it, but you can't do much with it anyway. If it does nothing more than just scootering around, I think flying a kite will create the same feeling but will cost much lesser. Just my thought.

Franking speaking I had no idea exactly wat heli soaring can do. Perhaps as much as it is just like its w a power plant. As I mentioned, we need to see it ourselves. I saw this 2 pics many times but not a single video .......... Its just another interesting topic flying a heli w/o power

Well, some Japanese had already proven it years ago. I doubt the vertical slope lift locally can support such soaring. Our slope lift here is considerably mild. It's the thermal lift at higher altitude and further out that makes soaring spectacular here.

I`ll get you your video footage of me heli soaring in the not too distant future. If the flights are successful, I`ll even make a web site with info for all to see on the subject of heli soaring.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy my heli soaring on the Reflex XTR sim that I captured and uploaded to YouTube.

Just video Google `Heli soaring` and my sim time is top of the list.

sim & reality for autos are two different things. not saying it's impossible.

                            HELI soaring ??!!???
Is that at all possible let alone practical ??!!??
I have a belt cp to donate to try this out this season, but I think since props are not allowed in BR, we can forget about rotors, may be sedili!

shld be possible if the lift is strong enough.

belt cp maybe too small , the blades cant catch enough lift. maybe a 30-50size can make it.

Francis maybe starting on his heli sloping project for sedili.
                              what's next?
