    [Video] The Making of "Blue Thunder" Movie

    For those watch "Blue Thunder" or still remember it, it was film using R/C F-16 and R/C Helicopter (Couple with real helis)

    Here is the "The Making of the Movie BLUE THUNDER. By: Dave Herbert" video:

    Interesting parts are the blow up of R/C F-16 in mid air using remote triggering and the R/C Hughes.

    Pretty nice actually.

    Note: Blue Thunder is a 1983 action movie.

    Did u notice the R/C model of Blue Thunder has nitro smoke while the real one dont have.

    They should have used Elec Heli. But during their time, eheli might be super expensive.

      No I didn't really see the smoke BUT take note of the part where the Blue Thunder doing a loop. U can really see the flybar and paddles

      The real (full size) Blue Thunder is 3 bladed heli.

        BTW, here is the pictures showing the original R/C version of the Blue Thunder and the Hughes:



        The Blue Thunder helicopter was originally an Aerospatiale SA341G Gazelle, built in 1973, and once flown by a coal mining company in the 1970s before Columbia Studios bought it.
