I think the 2 side rotor blades are for show onie... the propulsion still needed the gasser motor. Am I rite?

Just wondering, do the 2 free rotating blades act something like autorotation as in heli but with fixed positive pitch ?
Yes, they are like auto rotate in the heli, hence they also in negative pitch. Type to imagine the rotor is like a glider wing, and the glider is flying round and round, in this case, you have 8 blades = 8 gliders flying in the circle.
I used to crazy about autogyro many years back before I started heli. However, I never manage to bulit any autogyro completely.
Btw, the rotor (8 flat blades)as seen in the pic is not efficient enough to fly, thus the aircraft still needs some wing. Whereas other design, the blades are with profile (thin clark-y is commonly used) and can fly without the wing as in heli.
