I am no Expert in 3D nor Sports flying. If you need advices on crashing, I am an Expert!
I did some research on the Hirobo Vertol and Chinook a while ago.
The new ones from Hirobo comes with a device to mix the swashplate control for both the rotorhead. This is included in the kit. I believe a Hirobo Vertol/Chinook kit cost about S$5k.
In addition, you need to get a 50 size engine and 6 servos.
A cheaper option is to get the MS Composite electric Vertol or the Dragonfly. It's basically 2 micro helis joined together and cleverly controlled using an electronic mixer. This option will cost about S$1.5k.
You are very observant, it is true that what you see in the pic is 2 raptor co-joined together. This Conversion is done and owned by HELILIM.
Please PM him if he still has it to test fly. He can provide you with some conversion idea etc, like belting arrangement, motor setup, rotor pitch setting.
I am equally impress by his Innovative Conversion sometime in 2002.
