            Hi Airborne,

I went to Sim Lim square and bought a S$68 video capture card, it comes with a cable that you plug into your video camcorder and the capture card goes into one of your empty PCI slots on the motherboard, i think it's called the IEEE1394 connection or firewire cable, sorry if i am wrong regarding the name of this cable, check your video cam for this IEEE1394 port, it should be there.

I use the Windows XP's Windows Movie Maker software for all my videos you see in my gallery.

But one thing is for sure, for a 3~5 minute video production you will need to spend at least 1-1/2 hours or more on the pc, i.e. video downloading, forward/rewind of video tape, selection/joining of video clips, inserting songs/music into the video, inserting words on the video, putting in some special effects like fading-in and fading-out etc.

It is time-consuming, but very rewarding when you finish your own video production, Good Luck!

Hey Airborne, it comes naturally once you get it rolling. But your first one may take much much longer. As you keep doing it.... it gets faster and better ! Same like what we guys likes to do best can't go further
