Tx-serial-usb for FMS in winXP

Hope you guys will not consider this as a repeat posting. Did a search here and found some related topic but of different nature so i start this new thread.

the story goes, wife need pc, so i downgrade to my 466mhz pc, but this pc does not have any serial port, which my FMS cable need, so decided to try USB path.

when to simlim and got a RS232 (9 pin) to usb cable, connected it and it works.
all i need to do is to install the Drivers. some pic to help below. hope this help.
fyi, my pc assign the usb-serial to comm port 8.

the cable itself cost $25 i admitted its expensive, at least now i can plug and play.

the usb cable = $25
the 6 pin futaba i got it at $100+, from rotor some time back

save $$$ for the sim

btw, if you are buy a sim soon, don't waste the $$$ on this, the sim will have the cable you need to link up yr Tx and PC.
