    When to use separate bec?

    Hi.

Hmmm thot I posted this but did not show in forum.
    Here goes again:

When should I really use a separte bec vs inbuilt ones on esc?
I see some forums, even 1400mm fms warbirds, pple mod to use external bec.

If the logic is in case esc fails, u till have power to rx, what abt the issue of bec failing?
Are esc more prone to failure than separate bec?
Or is it becos of heat on esc that makes it more prone to fail?

    Thanks

Esc fail due to thousand reasons. Bec limit those reasons to exclude things like esc cooking off, battery dead, LVC, battery burning(happened), ur voltage drop resulting in servo no power or worse ur rx loss control cos not enough voltage and other esc related problem.

I feel safe if my 600 heli got a bec. I don't want to kill innocent people crashing onto them. If I can split my risk between 2 and eliminate some risk why not?

Long talk cut short, we all agree that it's going to take more reasons/ suay things to bring down a bec equipped model
